It’s been a whirlwind start in 2011 for Satellites & Sirens and it’s only three months into the new year! Let’s start with two impressive Dove nominations for the band, Rock/Contemporary Album Of The Year (2010 self-titled debut CD) and Rock Recorded Song Of The Year (“Anchor”) that is featured on their innovative 80’s infused self-titled project and the song shot to #13 on the CHR chart.

Besides receiving their first Dove nominations in two major categories, Satellites & Sirens recently signed with one of the hardest working and artist friendly management firms in the industry, Eaglemont Entertainment (Jason Gray, High Valley). Led by industry veteran, Jeff Berry, the company offers a hands-on approach to management that is developed to support the personality of each artist.

Continuing on a relentless touring schedule, Satellites & Sirens will be playing shows throughout the summer while preparing for the fall touring season. The band recently completed the “Air1 Listener Appreciation Tour” with Manic Drive, The Wrecking, and Red Airplane, impacting more than 9,000 fans in less than a month. While gaining notable airplay with their hit single “Anchor”, the band broke into the CHR Top 15 and quickly moved up the Rock charts before releasing an acoustic version to CHR and AC radio.

Known for their 80’s synth pop meets rock and roll sound, Satellites & Sirens is set to make their impact on the “Air1 Listener Appreciation Tour” launching May 7 in Rocklin, California. Word Records’ unique four-piece outfit will be joining Manic Drive, The Wrecking, and Red Airplane for a sixteen city tour sponsored by National Radio Network, Air 1 as well as Compassion International. All shows are free of charge with all ages welcome.
Gaining notable airplay with their hit single “Anchor”, the band broke into the CHR Top 20 while quickly presently moving up the Rock charts. The band also made their debut on the National Christian Audience chart with the 2nd highest overall debut this week. In support of their new hit single, Satellites & Sirens will be launching the Anchor EP on May 11th as a digital-only release.
Satellites & Sirens, the latest rock addition to the Word Records family, is preparing for an extensive tour with Disciple and Decyfer Down. Launching on March 4 in Longview, Texas, the “Blood, Sweat, and Rock n Roll” tour, will hit 35 cities during the months of March and April.
The band’s self-titled, full-length release debuted in the iTunes Top 10 Christian & Gospel chart the first week of the exclusive release.
