The astronomical success of “Glory Defined” shot Building 429 to the top of the charts and helped the group take home the 2005 Dove Award for Best New Artist. With the band’s sophomore release, Rise, the quartet continues to remain a household name by delivering more spiritual modern rock crowd pleasers.
With the continued collaboration of veteran producer Monroe Jones (Third Day, Chris Rice), there is even distribution throughout the album of straight-up, guitar-heavy rockers and fully orchestrated songs accented with lush strings. “Home” is such a piece that is excellently delivered with subtle piano, powerful strings and high-energy arena rock. This moving song was penned by all four band members and is about teenage suicide.
