A four piece rock/modern worship band from Texas with a passion and
zeal for Jesus Christ that reaches far beyond a stage. Steven Patterson
moved to Abilene in the Fall of 2000 to attend college at Hardin Simmons.
In Abilene, Steven teamed up with Jeff Berry writing songs and leading
worship across the country. In 2003, he married his best friend and
partner in ministry Rachel. Living in a city with four college's, Steven began
leading worship for a city-wide collegiate bible study called Grace. With
over a thousand students in attendence each week, Steven needed a band
to help him and Rachel lead. Soon, Josh Jones began traveling in to Abilene
to play drums every Tuesday. Isaac Brown followed shortly after as the bass
player. Branch formed through the bible study, but soon began traveling
and leading worship at other events. In the Fall of 2005, the band officially
became Branch with the release of their debut album "Desperate for Real".
With their first record, the band's ministry reached beyond the borders of
the bible study and soon the band was traveling full time leading worship
at various Summer Camps, Conferences, and Youth Events. Branch's
newest released "The Side Effects of Seeing," released in November 07.
The bands passion is to creatively and effectively lead others into the
presence of God where they can respond to God and be changed into His
likeness. Currently the whole band lives in Abilene, TX and leads worship
for their home church University Baptist Church. The band is made up of
Steven and Rachel Patterson, Isaac Brown, and Josh Jones.
