Blue Reign's music is a sound of sophisticated rock developed though the thoughtful fusion of deep-introspective lyricism, complex rhythms, catchy simplicity, and emotionally charged accompaniment. Their distinctive style flashes influences from an eclectic array of musical genres such as jazz, hip-hop, Celtic, funk, folk, alternative, and straight rock. They use God-conscious lyrics to present an intensely personal and in-depth perspective on such issues as honesty, trust, divorce, depression, hope, and love.
Blue Reign has been performing as a group in the greater Portland, OR area since 2004. They have performed before wide-ranging audiences at such venues as the Multnomah County Fair, PROPER, the Culture of Belief, an Evening of Eighty-Eight Keys, Jam Night, and are will be performing on two of the biggest stages in Oregon this summer.
The band is fronted by the gorgeously powerful vocals of Akesha Rintalin and supported by the intricate guitar work of Andy Bell and Roy Shrine, the sincere piano/keyboard of Megan Turvey, and the phat rhythms of DeOnn Wooden on bass and Dee Keller on drums.
