Tayla found her passion early in life when, as a first-grader, she sang in her first performance at her school’s talent show in 1998. Many young kids dream of one day becoming a singer, but for Tayla it was more than just a dream; she actually believed that if it was God’s will, He would guide the way. Whenever she has the opportunity, she signs herself up to sing, whether it be for school talent shows, for the worship team at church, or with various bands.
In 2003, Tayla wrote her first song, “Who Shall I Be”. Finally, the purpose and direction for her music was beginning to unfold. Being dedicated and motivated she made her way through the song writing process. Along the way there were many people that nurtured & encouraged her in her aspirations as a singer. One of those people gave her the opportunity to record her first CD entitled “Footprints” with 11 of her original songs in December of 2006 at SonicPhish Productions in Arizona. Tayla’s record was produced by award winning producer/musician Ken Mary, (LaRue, Alice Cooper, House of Lords, The Beach Boys, Trik Turner, Pivitplex), whose musical contributions have resulted in the sale of over 5,000,000 records worldwide. After many years of hard work, her CD has been released and is currently available for purchase at www.taylahodges.com . Tayla is now in the process of using her music to reach out to people about the love of Christ and how He can and will carry you through the hard times.... |
