The Detroit native, has included the role of co-producer to her Singer/ Song Writer credits on her forthcoming & much-anticipated Debut CD release. The new release will also feature music production from Sam Kendrick of the Stellar Award nominated group, "7 Sons of Soul" and international producer, Steve "Keyz" Ebhodaghe.
Melody's songs are written from a very personal place ... It is from this place that her tremendous passion & raw emotion can be heard & felt in every song she sings. "I know that a major portion of my assignment on earth is to bring the message of Christ's love, hope, and power to save, set free, & deliver to the non-believer & believer alike... to those who may be securely planted, the not so sure, & the not at all's - I will take the "good news" message to everyone that will hear!... I am not only called to go, but to carry the anointing for worship, praise, psalms, hymns, & spiritual songs in music styles & genres that can be received by ALL!"
Melody's musical inspirations, which are as varied as her style, range from a wide blend of musical legends and innovators such as, Natalie Cole, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, and Lady Tramaine Hawkins. Other songtresses & balladeers who've impacted Melody's musical journey include, Denise Williams, Fred Hammond, Mary J. Blige, and Chaka Khan - just to name a few.
